Audrey showed Sir Seamus and Lady Ghostwriter Rood to the rooms made available for them in the guest wing of Castle de Stryke.

Following Lord Baldar's orders, Marie tapped gently on the guest room door of Sir Seamus and Lady Ghostwriter.

Please excuse the intrusion. Sir Seamus, rooms have been prepared next to the King's suite. Please follow me and someone will see that you bags are moved.

The rooms were prepared.

The Princess Ghostwriter put the last her her things from the dresser into her satchel, letting a maid finish of the other bags. Her head was spinning. They had arrived and left quickly before, and then returned. Now Ghostwriter was leaving again, and she looked round the room, thinking it a beautiful room, and comfortable, and realised she would have liked to have stayed longer. Quietly sighing she dropped her hair brush into her bag and pulled the cord. All was gathered now.

If you would please see that all the bags are taken to the carriage I would be grateful, thank you, Princess Ghostwriter said pleasantly to the maid, who seemed a nice girl and very helpful. Going to the window she looed out on the grounds, and thought that for a winter's morning in February the outside world looked beautiful. Crossing herself she said a silent prayer, thinking of King Faheud, and taking a deep breath she turned to face the room, walking to the bed where she had left her satchel. She was ready to return to London now to take up her duties as Regent.

Falcon walks down the hall and see's the Princess standing in her room. He walks over and gives her a big heart felt hug. It is good to see you back in the house my dear. You and Seamus have been missed around these halls.

With the passing of my friend the King you will have an important role in the life of England. I wish you all the best in your journey and I am sure you will have the support of the House of de Stryke. Let me escort you to your carriage that awaits down stairs.

I will hope that when your responsibilities are finished you both will return to your home for a stay. I do miss that old codger around here but don't tell him I said that.

Baldar had heard that PrincessGhost was leaving, and heading to the entrance he saw both she and Falcon.

Princess, I feel what you feel and tis a sad day for England. I know you were very close to the King and if you need anything the family is hear as Falcon says.

Then forgetting all formalities he embraces the Regent his cousin, Look after yourself Ghost, and we wait both you and Seamus in these halls.

He then bows to the Regent. and goes to stand next to Falcon.

Caitilin hurried from one conference room to the other. Marie stopped her in the hall and whispered close to her ear. She listen closely and then her gaze rose up the staircase and toward the guest wing. Marie looked at her mistress and nodded to the staircase. His Lordship wishes it so. Cait paused and breathed slowly, handing the stacks of parchments to Marie. Would you see that these get to the Knight's conference, please.

She took hold of the marble railing and climbed each riser. Down the hall she strode and past the Royal apartments where the King had stay while in the castle. At the door of the Princess Regent's apartments, she heard the familiar voices of her brother, Sir Falconfire, and her beloved husband and love of her life, Sir Baldar. Cait rapped softly on the heavy door and waited for permission to enter.

Princess Ghostwriter was about to leave the rooms when Falcon entered and she smiled faintly at him.

It's nice to see you too, she managed to say before she was hugged, and this was nearly her undoing, the warmth and genuineness. She looked at Falcon and nodded at what he said before seeing Baldar too.

Thank you Baldar. It is good to see you before I had to leave. Please forgive the need to be elsewhere... I wish that things were different, and yes I was close to the King. We worked had worked well together. At Baldar's hug Ghostwriter smiled at her cousin. Thank you Baldar.

Hearing a knock Princess Ghostwriter looked at the door and called Enter!.

Cait opened the door slowly and entered. She gave the Princess a curtsy and looked surprised to see her brother had returned.. Falcon, good to have you home again. This place is just not the same without you and Crisje. She hugged her brother tightly and whispered, chuckling. Marie found the clothes under your bed and you are in trouble. She moved over to stand beside Baldar and slipped her hand in his. They had so little time to be together. Cait then turned to Ghost. Marie told me you are leaving. I hope there is not trouble in London again. There are knights from all over arriving and it would be good for you to meet them. I have been so busy with the conferences and assigning the squires that we have not had much time to talk, not even time to have tea. I wanted to ask about the children and I have yet to see Seamus about.

Falcon hugs his dear sister back, Thanks my dear I really missed you too. All he could do is turn red at the mention of Marie.

Well my Princess, looking at Ghosty, I know you have things to take care of but I do wish you put the Knight Conference as a priority in your busy schedule. With Cait and Baldars blessings I might just wander in there myself. I had received a message from Brittany and was thinking of going there myself in person.

I did go by the KoTR on my way in but seemed to have lost my keys again, checking his pockets with a grin.

Princess Ghostwriter smiled weakly at Dame Caitilin as she entered the room and listened as she spoke. She did not want to leave, the conference a chance to meet many people, but the constraints of Full Mourning, the duties she now had that fell on her shoulders, and the need to arrange King Faheud's funeral, the Princess could not stay. Duty first.

Needs must that I return to London Dame Caitilin. I wish it was not so, but with everything, and the King's funeral to arrange... Princess Ghostwriter paused, swallowing to control her voice, knowing she had to stand strong, and not let down King Faheud's memory by showing weakness now.

I'd like to thank you for letting the delegates know of the King's demise. I am unsure how I would have managed it personally, she said, grateful that as usual Dame Caitilin was efficient, and a painful task had been saved for her.

Do let the delegates and all here know that the Crown wishes all success with these conferences, and We wish there had been more time. The children are well... settling into Groombridge Place, and Seamus is around somewhere... probably ensuring my carriage is prepared and the poor soldiers have their orders.

Princess Ghostwriter smiled wryly at that, remembering how worried Seamus had been the last few months, and especially now since her kidnapping and injury. The Princess said nothing of the kidnapping.

We'll have to catch up soon, thats for sure. And I look forward to working with you, and planning the Knights of England's elevation for after Full Mourning ends. Let me have some dates that will work for you.

The Conferences are important, that I don't deny Falcon, she said turning to Falconfire now. However my time is no longer my own and I have a funeral to plan, amongst other things.

Princess Ghostwriter listened to Dame Caitilin and indicating the maid to take her bags down as she was leaving that very moment.

I was told by the King that this was to return the Honours to the Knights of England, that there were no Knightings planned at this time, the Princess said quietly. I would suggest that we don't delay longer than necessary to do this as if you do become queen it would look like nepotism if you were to elevate and Knight within your own Order. By having the Order advanced by myself as Regent for Faheud you will avoid the appearance of favouritism.

Turning to Sir Baldar, Ghostwriter paused a moment, picking up her purse.

I really need to go now Baldar. If you would contact me by messenger when you decide a date for the KoE to be elevated I would be grateful.

Then turning to Dame Caitilin she wished her adieu and would see her in London at the elevation, and then quietly she left.
